Initial appointment (Screeners + No report)

School-age language assessment
60 – 90 minute therapy session + 1.5 hr assessment report
What this Includes:
– $290.98 (assessment), up to 90 minutes assessment session with the therapist).
A formal, standardised speech and language assessment for children aged 5-18 years old using the Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals – 5th Edition (CELF-5).
– $290.98 Comprehensive Report, 90 minutes report writing time.
Includes interpretation of results, personalised strengths and areas of improvement and recommendations (and goal setting if required).
School aged language assessment, report and feedback session.
45 minute feedback session for the language report.
Assessment, Report, and Feedback Meeting 45 minutes. (in person or via tele-health or phone).
Details: In addition to the assessment and report, this option includes a feedback meeting to discuss the results and recommendations in detail.
You, along with any relevant school staff, are welcome to attend. This meeting offers a chance to go over the assessment’s findings and plan the next steps collaboratively.
Travel fees are charged if in person at a rate of 193.99 per hour. Fees are charged when visiting locally.
Preschool-aged speech and language assessments
60 – 90 minute therapy session + 1.5 hr assessment report
What this Includes:
A formal, standardised speech and language assessment for children aged 3-5 years old using the Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals – Preschool, 3rd Edition (CELF-P3) assessment, a picture naming test (if appropriate), and conversational observation of speech sounds and school readiness.
– The family will be asked to complete a checklist of the children’s skill in learning, listening and engagement skills.
– Includes interpretation of results, a comprehensive report (2hours) and recommendations, goal setting, and planning for therapy.
– Up to 45 minute feedback session can be provided in addition for $145.48 (or simply discussed during your next appointment).
Swallowing Assessment
Adult assessment only (1 hour + comprehensive report)
What this Includes:
Assessment or review of eating and swallowing skills. 1 hour direct with the client and their carer. Includes discussion of the client’s mealtime behaviours with the carer. (Mealtime foods/textures to be provided by the family will be discussed prior to the appointment).
– Includes comprehensive report (2 hours) and recommendations.
School aged literacy assessment
45 minute assessment + 1 hour report.
45 minutes to 1 hour assessment.
A literacy assessment conducted by a speech pathologist evaluates a child’s foundational skills in reading, writing, and comprehension. It identifies areas such as phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and spelling that may impact their academic progress.
Through a personalised approach, the assessment highlights strengths and challenges, providing targeted strategies and recommendations to support literacy development. This service is ideal for children struggling with literacy milestones, ensuring they build the skills needed for successful learning and communication.
Therapy Session
30 minute session
Home, clinic or school, childcare or kindergarten visits are available.
-Travel fees will apply if outside of the clinic, these are charged at the same rate as therapy $193.99. All travel is shared where possible between clients on the same day to help ease travel costs.
– Therapy sessions include movement breaks and time for consultation and discussion.
– 30 minute sessions are ideal for kindergarten students or for those working on speech/literacy goals.
– 45 minute sessions are also available.

Travel
Local support only
Speakability will share the costs of travel with other participants where possible, shared travel costs are not fixed, meaning that they are dependent on the location of the client’s and number of clients seen on the day.
We have the option for families to come into the clinic to help ease the costs of travel (particularly for those who are not funded).
NDIS Outcome Report
Billed annually for NDIS clients (x2 hours report writing)
A comprehensive outcome report of therapy services and supports, to be shared with your NDIS planner for funding review. This will help evidence the need for further services if appropriate.
Goal Plan
Goal plans are billed annually (review at 6 months within the scheduled therapy session)
1 – 2 hours are billed for a goal plan, depending on the complexity and goals of the client. More comprehensive goal plans will include a breakdown of the goals, timeline and how we will achieve these goals moving forward – also the expectations of the family at home in helping the therapist to achieve these goals.

Optional
– Brief session notes can be provided to you after the option, if this option is ticked or requested.
– Most families attend the child’s appointment, therefore you will know what your child is doing in therapy and the progress your child is making through ongoing discussion in the session; you will be an integral part of their therapy and gains.
– Your therapist will issue the client with homework depending on their need/goals.
**Some families prefer comprehensive notes, including a homework breakdown. Therefore 15 minutes is charged in addition to your appointment. Comprehensive notes can take up to an hour in addition to your appointment so we do charge part of our time to do this for you.
